The difference between multiplication and division is that on division you have to separate something into groups.On multiplication you kind of have to add the number has many times has the second number.What they have in common is that they are both hard.

It's really good use of words, but you could of said the difference between multiplication, for example if we put the sum into x and y then we are adding x on how many y's in the sum giving you your answer. But division is seperating the x and grouping into how many y is there ---> 15(x) divide 5(y)= will give you none other than your answer :)
if your multiplying your adding and it your doing division your separating the numbers into equal groups.

Multiplication and division are different 'cause for division is separating an equal number in each group,and multiplication is to combine an equal group,and they are the same 'cause you are having an equal number in each group.

Division start with the big number multiplication start with the small number.
